- ;Welcome to the "Multi Domain Settings" file.
- ;If you use the "Multi Domain Plugin" with AppleShare IP, you
- ;will need to edit the content of this file to provide information about each
- ;web site you wish to support.
-
- ;What follows is a brief description about how to edit this file.
-
- ;This line and all lines that start with ";" are comment lines. You may add
- ;comment lines of your own.
-
- ;For each domain you wish to support, you will need to provide 3 things:
- ;the DNS name, a port number, and a complete path to a web folder. Each of
- ;these items must be in the order listed. Below is an example of how
- ;YourCompany might set up its AppleShare IP server
- ;to support 2 web sites:
-
- ;You might setup a web site for employees of "YourCompany as" follows:
- ;dns=employees.yourcompany.com port=81 path=HardDisk:Employee News folder:
-
- ;You might setup a web site for customers of "YourCompany" as follows:
- ;dns=customers.yourcompany.com port=80 path=HardDisk:Customer Web Folder:
-
- ;Of course, for the above to actually work, you'd have to remove the ";" from the
- ;two lines that start with ";dns=" so that the Multi Domain Plugin will actually read,
- ;and not treat those lines as comments. You'd also have to set up DNS to support
- ;yourcompany.com, and you'd need to change the paths to reflect folders on your server.
-
- ;NOTE: The first entry in this file is special with regards to "Remote Admin".
- ;If you wish to use "Remote Admin", you'll need to make the "path=" portion of the first
- ;entry in this file contain the "Remote Admin" folder, and you will then use
- ;the name or ip address associated with the first entry to invoke "Remote Admin".
- ;So, if you used the example above, you would invoke Remote Admin by typing:
- ;"http://employees.yourcompany.com/.admin".
-
-
- ;For more complete information, see the AppleShare IP documentation
- ;and read-me files.
